New techniques to boost the profitability of oilseed rape, growing mixed forages for cover cropping and energy production, plus a range of new seed varieties were the main features on the DSV stand at Cereals 2015, an annual farming event featuring breeder’s plots as well as machinery manufacturers, agronomy companies, etc. The staff at the DSV stand was as busy as ever with more than 2,000 visitors, and certainly the level of interest in our products continues to grow.
Visitors were able to see new varieties growing and get to know the next wave of oilseed rape hybrids from DSV’s breeding development programme. The concept of undersowing oilseed rape with legumes and grass mixes was also featured. The new maize portfolio was announced at the event and a new range of CAP compliant forage and cereal mixes were presented, as were mixes specifically developed for biogas production.
We also demonstrated the soil conditioning capabilities of our TerraLife range of cover crop mixes. Visitors showed a huge interest, especially at the soil pit. They could see for themselves how TerraLife works in the soil to open it up and add organic matter.
